Now that you know a little bit about our New Years, I can tell you some of my FIREWORK stories:)!
For instance, I remember one New Years Eve, my family and I were setting off fireworks in our street. Because we were Americans and our fireworks were nice, a bunch of people gathered and started watching our “show”. We were just about to set one of the really big ones off, so we got two (big) rocks and lodged the firework in between them. What we didn’t think about was the other two sides! Well, as you can imagine, as soon as the first couple of shots went off, the firework tipped over and spun out of control. One shot went straight up the road! The firework spun around and kept shooting off fireworks! Daddy jumped behind our gate with his hands over his face. Everyone panicked…we all scattered as the firework kept shooting off random rounds. Praise the Lord no one was hurt…but that sure made for a memorable New Year!
