Thanksgiving?

Now that New Years and Christmas are covered, you might be thinking since Filipinos love food so much that they must love thanksgiving! Well, the Philippines doesn't celebrate thanksgiving at all. So, usually my family gets together with other American missionaries to celebrate. One time, my family and I traveled down to another island and spent thanksgiving with five other missionary families. It was great fun! We had more food than we could ever eat (haha there was more desserts than actual food). So many, in fact, that we ate cheesecake the next morning for breakfast! The guys played football and the girls baked! It was awesome! Now I have to admit, it is a little strange to be the only ones in the country celebrating a holiday, but we have learned to have fun with it. One time, we were missing Mexican food, so we decided to forgo the traditional thanksgiving and have a "Mexican" thanksgiving. So instead of having turkey, we had tacos;) Quite different but still fun!
