This past Sunday was our Family Day at our church here in the Philippines. This is a day that we have done every year since we started our church. Family Day is always so much fun! We have preaching, food, and games! The whole church gets involved, and we all have a good time! There are kids games, teen games, college and career games, and we even have three point shoot out for all the men in the church. In years past, one of my favorite games that we played with the whole church was “Manna from Heaven”. My dad would climb onto the roof of the church and drop a bunch of little papers into the church parking lot. Then, there would be a mad dash to pick up all the papers, and everyone who got a paper either got a little candy or a prize! That was so much fun! Another one of my favorite games was the clay pots. Now, I am sure most of you are familiar with piñatas. Well, our clay pots are pretty much the same idea. We fill pots made of clay with candy and hang the pots in the air. People are then blindfolded, and they have to break the clay pots. Oh, so much fun! Family Day is definitely a day that has many wonderful memories for me! And I am so happy to have been here this year for another awesome Family Day.
