In my last post, I told you all about my favorite mode of transportation….the jeepneys! This time, I will tell you about the most unique mode of transportation..... Trisikads.
Trisikads are homemade. Anyone can be a trisikad driver…..if you have a bike and a friend who is a welder. You take your bike and weld on a side car for passengers to sit in. TADA!!!! Congratulations to the newest trisikad driver!!!!
These trisikads only go small distances. If you live back inside a neighborhood and you want to get out to the main road to ride a jeepney, you pay one of the trisikad drivers to take you.
On average, a trisikad ride cost PHP5. Now, if you weigh more than an average Filipino, you might want to pay PHP10.
Like the jeepneys, trisikads have the best decorations ever! Each driver decorates it in his own style. So, depending on how much money that they have determines the decorations that the trisikad will have. My favorite trisikads are decorated with old CD’s!
Like I always say, everything is more fun in the Philippines.
