I Said Yes!

We are engaged!!!

The engagement story starts two weeks before our actual engagement. Christopher and I took a walk on the beach. On this walk, I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday. He told me that the only thing he wanted to do for his birthday was take another walk on the beach with me just like we were doing that day. During this walk, we found a beautiful orange rock. We decided to bury it and find it two weeks later on his birthday walk. We decided we would bring my mom and dad to chaperone us, and we would make it a double date.

Fast forward two weeks. We get ready to go and are walking out the door when my brother and sister decided that they wanted to go with us. This was not unusual, so I thought nothing of it. We walked to the spot where we had buried the rock and decided to make a funny video. Meanwhile, my dad had walked away to "answer a phone call". Actually, he was getting Christopher's parents on Facetime so they could "be there" too.

I nudged the pile of sand with my foot to see if I could find the rock, and I saw a paper in the sand......It was a poem that Christopher wrote to me. At the end of the poem, he told me that he hoped my answer would be yes. Then he got on one knee and proposed! Of course I said "YES!!". It was a perfect day!
